Fresno, CA. Angelia Green, Operations Manager for the ABA Fresno Heatwave professional basketball team, today announced that tryouts for the Heatwave cheerleading/dance team will be held on Saturday, September 25th at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center in Downtown Fresno. Auditions will run from 10:30am to 1:00pm. Please come prepared with a 30 second routine. "We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic and dynamic dancers to help this organization in creating a fun environment for our sports enthusiasts," said Green. "We also are looking for young women who can be great role models for our youth as well as for future dance team members," she continued.

"There will be a community contest launched within the next week to design and name the team Mascot," said Green. "And this is a great way for the Heatwave to reach out to the young fans out there and get them involved; this is going to be a lot of fun."

All interested in trying out for the squad can visit www.heatwavelive.com for tryout information, registration form and requirements. You can also call the team office at (559) 225-HEAT (4328) and ask for Angelia.
