Texas Revolution End 2013 IFL Season Tonight in Allen

Allen, TX - It was a tale of two halves tonight, as the Texas Revolution (5-9) fall to the Sioux Falls Storm (10-4) by a score of 52-38. The Revolution led at halftime 31-20, but a rough 3rd quarter allowed the Storm to take over and never look back.

The Storm ended the first half with a field goal, and continued their scoring surge in the 2nd Half scoring 28 unanswered points. The Revolution finally got on the board in the 2nd half, but a late Red Zone trip that resulted in no points sealed the game for the visiting Storm.

For the Revolution, wide receiver Phillip Barnett had a breakout game. Barnett finished the evening with 14 receptions for 148 yards and 2 touchdowns. Receivers Jordan Jolly (4 rec, 18 yards, 1 TD), R.J. Jackson (2 rec, 18 yards), and Mack Ogletree (2 rec, 13 yards) also caught passes from Quarterback Marcus Jackson tonight.

Quarterback Marcus Jackson finished 22-39 with 3 TD, 1 int, and 198 yards. He also added 14 rushes for 72 yards and 2 TD.

On the defensive side Scooter Rogers, Frankie Solomon Jr. and A.J. Nicholson recorded 7 tackles apiece.

The IFL leader in kick return yards coming in to tonight's game, Frankie Solomon Jr., totaled 89 return yards.

The Revolution end the 2013 season tonight and will return next year for the 2014 campaign. The Storm will host the Cedar Rapids Titans next Saturday for the United Conference Championship.
