Colorado Ice Win the I-25 Rivalry

Fort Collins, CO - The Colorado Ice end the regular season with a 58 - 43 win over the Wyoming Cavalry. With this win the Ice have beat the Cavalry 7 out of the last 7 games they have played. Also, the Ice finish the season with a 9 - 5 record going into the Intense Conference Championship against the Nebraska Danger on Saturday, June 22nd in Grand Island, Nebraska.

The game was back and forth throughout the first half with the Cavalry scoring on their first drive of the game. Although the Cavalry had the ball for over half the game the Ice Defense was able to get some key stops and numerous sacks.

Ice Defensive Lineman Michael Stover (97) lead the team with 2 sacks for 14 yards and 3 tackles for a loss of 16 yards. The defensive line did not stop there; Conrad Obi (40) had 2 sacks and 3 tackles for a loss as well. Gabe Knapton (33) finished the game with 1 sack for 5 yards and 2 tackles for a loss of 8 yards. Ice linebacker Joe Thornton (1) had a 21 yard interception and a 4 yard tackle for a loss.

The Ice offense kept the run alive with Dennis Kennedy (7) having 83 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns, with 13 yards receiving. As the return man for the Ice, Kennedy had 7 kick returns for 142 yards. Willie Copeland (13) went 15 of 24 passing for 168 yards and 4 touchdowns, while putting up 23 rushing yards and 1 rushing touchdown. The Ice receivers spread out their touchdowns with Patrick Walker (85) getting 7 catches for 70 yards and 2 touchdowns, Matt Roark (4) had the long ball of the night for a 34 yard touchdown and another touchdown for 29 yards. Kyle Kaiser (3) came away with 1 touchdown and 34 yards receiving
