
Texas Announces Signing of New Netminders

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (August 6)- The Texas Brahmas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced Friday the signing of two goaltenders, Scott Campbell and Wayne Savage, and their preseason schedule against the Allen Americans for the 2010-11 campaign.
Campbell will enter his second year in the CHL after spending his rookie year with the Wichita Thunder last season. The Bloomfield, ONT native posted a 7-23-2 record with the young team and was able to earn the league's CHL Goalie of the Week for the first week of February earning three wins in three starts. Campbell was a nominee for the Wichita, Kansas 2010 Pro Athlete of the Year.
Savage comes to Texas following two seasons at the University of Prince Edward Island (AUS) where Brahmas former Assistant Coach Forbes MacPherson now holds head coaching duties. Last season Savage posted a 12-7-0 record and a .904 save percentage for the Panthers securing the MVP award for the Panthers.
The Brahmas 2010-11 preseason contests are scheduled for Friday, October 8 at 7:30 PM at the NYTEX Sports Centre and Saturday, October 9 at the Allen Events Center at 7:00 PM; both against their cross town rival, Allen Americans.
Individual game tickets for the 2010-11 season and tickets for the preseason game will be available for purchase soon. All tickets for the October 8th preseason game will be $10. Texas Brahmas season tickets are also available. For more information please call the Brahmas offices at (817) 336-4423.
