Terrell Adams Named US Army Ironman of the Week

Southaven, MS-The Memphis Xplorers of the af2 are proud to announce that WR/DB Terrell Adams has been named US Army Ironman of the Week by the league office.

Adams had three touchdowns in the 69-57 win over the Central Valley Coyotes last Saturday night in Fresno, California. Defensively, he made two interceptions, one of which was returned 30 yards for a touchdown, and added two solo tackles as well as two assisted tackles. On offense, he carried the ball for ten yards and a touchdown, and had 55 receiving yards on five catches, one of which was a 24-yard touchdown from QB Brian Jones.

"Terrell has been great for us all season," said Xplorers Head Coach Danton Barto. "He played exceptionally well for us against Central Valley in all aspects of the game."

This is the second consecutive week that the Xplorers have had a player of the week winner. In week 16, Khreem Smith was named the ADT Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts against the Manchester Wolves.

The Xplorers are 2005 Mid West Division Champions and currently 12-3 on the season. Memphis has clinched a bye in the first round of the playoffs, and a home playoff game on August 12th. Tickets are on sale now!
