MILWAUKEE (Jan. 4, 2010) - Milwaukee Wave forward Marco Terminesi captured his second Major Indoor Soccer League Player of the Week award today for his performance against Baltimore on Thursday.
Terminesi scored three goals, including the game-winner in overtime, as the Wave defeated the Blast, 12-10, at home. He also added an assist for seven points, helping Milwaukee (4-2) climb into a first-place tie with the Blast. Terminesi leads the Wave and ranks second in the MISL with 21 points.
The 25-year-old from Woodbridge, Ontario also captured the award for a nine-point outburst against Philadelphia earlier this month. After scoring 52 points in 20 games to win the Xtreme Soccer League Rookie of the Year honor in 2008-09, he trails only Monterrey's Genoni Martinez (23 points in seven games) in this year's scoring race.
Milwaukee visits Baltimore on Jan. 9 in its next action, then returns home at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10 against La Raza de Monterrey on Hispanic Heritage Day. Call 414-224-9283 for tickets or information.
