
Ten BayHawks Named as 2011 MLL All-Stars

ANNAPOLIS, MD - Ten Bayhawks players were named to the 2011 MLL All-Star Game, according to the league's announcement on Monday. Chesapeake's ten All-Stars rank first for most appointed in the league and they include: Matt Abbott, Kyle Dixon, Michael Evans, Danny Glading, Kyle Hartzell, Ben Hunt, Michael Kimmel, Brian Phipps, Alex Smith, and Chris Garrity. Smith and Garrity will not play in the 11th annual All-Star game due to injuries.
This year's All-Star teams will be selected the night before the game by the two winners of the MLL Ultimate Fan Fantasy Contest. The All-Star selection event will take place at Harvard Stadium in Boston on Friday, July 8 at 7:00 pm as part of the All-Star Kickoff Party.
The 2011 Sports Authority MLL All-Star Game will be held at Harvard Stadium in Boston on Saturday, July 9 at 7:00 pm. The annual event features the new Goalie Gauntlet and the ever popular and incredible Bud Light Skills Competition. The game will also air live on ESPN2.
Chesapeake remains home this weekend to battle the Rattlers again at 7:30pm on Saturday at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on Saturday, July 2nd. Fans are encouraged to come early and join the Bayhawks for the Bud Light Pre-Game Tailgate in the parking lot. The tailgate will include live music, the Budweiser Clydesdales, the Warrior Fun Zone, Bud Light specials and is open to all fans. Sign up the kids for a pre-game clinic presented by Cascade with a chance to win an authentic Bayhawks helmet! The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and a fireworks show will go on post-game so don't miss out!
