
Hamilton Nationals' Jeremy Boltus Honored with Weekly MLL Award

(Hamilton, Ontario)... Major League Lacrosse, the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, announced Monday its weekly award winners for the week ending June 26th, according to MLL Commissioner David Gross. Hamilton Nationals rookie attackman Jeremy Boltus was honored as the League's Offensive Player of the Week.
Boston Cannons defenseman Kyle Sweeney earned the Defensive Player of the Week honor. In addition, Rochester Rattlers attackman Grant Catalino was named as the recipient of the Cascade MLL Rookie of the Week award.
While leading the Nationals to a weekend sweep of the Rattlers, Boltus scored nine goals in their two games. In the Nationals' 19-16 victory over Rochester on Friday night, he set a team single-game record by scoring seven goals, including four goals in the first half. The Baldwinsville, NY, native also added a pair of goals in the Nationals' 15-14 overtime victory on Saturday night, marking Hamilton's third win over Rochester this season.
Boltus, who earned Cascade MLL Rookie of the Week honors on May 23rd, leads all MLL rookies with 11 goals and 16 points. The 2011 Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year, Boltus finished his college career ranked second in Army men's lacrosse history with 124 career assists and 214 points. A Tewaaraton Award finalist, he scored 24 goals with 45 assists as a senior.
On Friday night, Boltus and the Nationals will host John Grant Jr. and the Long Island Lizards at Ron Joyce Stadium. The 7:00 p.m. contest, on Canada Day, will be broadcast live on ESPN3.com.
