Teddy Bear Toss Friday December 7th
December 4, 2007 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Ottawa 67's News Release
It'll be raining Teddy Bears this Friday night when the 67's take on the Bellville Bulls at the Civic Centre. It's the annual Teddy Bear Toss game, where fans are encouraged to bring a new or gently used Teddy Bear with them to the game to help make the holiday season a little brighter for underprivileged kids. The Salvation Army will collect and distribute the bears to families that can't afford to buy presents for their children, and Zellers will be onsite with a supply of bears for those fans who forget to bring one from home.
The cue for fans to throw their bears onto the ice is the 67's first goal of the night. We'll stop the game and give fans one minute to get into position for a clear throw. Then, after a three, two, one countdown, everybody will be asked to throw. It's quite a sight to see, and a meaningful way to help those in need. Game time is 7:30 PM and great tickets are still available online at www.capitaltickets.ca or by calling 613.599.FANS.
