Colorado Mammoth News Release
DENVER - The Canadian Lacrosse Association announced today that John Grant Jr., Mark Matthews, Jordan McBride, Brodie Merrill and Jeremy Noble headline Team Canada's roster for the "ËDuel in Denver' that will be held on Saturday, September 8 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. September's game against the U.S. men's national team is a rematch of the 2010 Federation of International Lacrosse World Championship gold-medal game (won by the U.S.).
"It's only fitting to have a distinct Colorado flavor to the Canadian team as it plays here for the first time," said Mammoth president and general manager Steve Govett, who also serves as team coordinator for the Team Canada.
Grant and McBride are teammates on the Mammoth, while Noble and Matthews are current and former University of Denver Pioneers, respectively. Matthews is now a rookie attackman for the Denver Outlaws, and teammates with McBride.
Merrill is a five-time all-pro and three-time winner of the player of the year award at his position in the National Lacrosse League.
Tickets to the "ËDuel in Denver' are on sale now at the Dick's Sporting Goods Park box office, all Colorado Dick's Sporting Goods retail kiosks, online at TicketHorse.com, or by calling 303.53.HORSE.
