
'Hard-Nosed Defender' Inked by Mammoth

DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth announced today that the team has signed defenseman Chet Koneczny (@thelaxlife) to a one-year agreement, pending league approval. Koneczny, 28, played one season apiece for the Orlando Titans ('10) and Washington Stealth ('11).
"Chet is a hard-nosed defender who plays with a lot of energy," said Mammoth head coach Bob Hamley. "After a year away, Chet's hungry to get back into the National Lacrosse League. He'll compete for a spot on our roster in November and December in training camp."
The 5'11", 185-pound Nova Scotia native has two goals, 12 assists and 94 loose balls in 20 career games played.
