West Texas Roughnecks News Release

ODESSA, TX. West Texas' professional football team in conjunction with Panacore Productions, "Delivered" their new "Baby" today at the maternity ward of team hospital, Odessa Regional Hospital. Adding on to what many West Texans are already refering to as the most exciting form of entertainment in the area, Roughnecks games will now feature two large video boards complete with instant replay and close-ups of all the action.

"We are continusly searching for ways to improve the way people do business in our area," explained Panacore President Perry Berryhill in reference to the video boards, "after viewing a Roughnecks game, we became certain that we could add a major enhancement to the team's production on game nights." Roughnecks Director of Game Operations, Barney Welch agreed and put a rush on the project. "Panacore wanted to wait until the second half of the season so that they could present the ‘Panamax' with all of the bells and whistles but I was too eager to present this to our guests to wait even one more."

These "Panamax" screens will be officially introduced in a one-camera system without some of the major features for the next two home games including tomorrow's event versus the San Angelo Stampede. The four-game, second half of the season will feature not only the close-ups of player and coaches expressions, a better view of the action from any seat in the coliseum, and promotions like the Kissing Cam and even a live feed from the Roughnecks locker room during halftime, but also the slow motion and instant replay features in a three-camera system.

Special graphics are being designed and promotions planned to help the Roughnecks make full use of this remarkable new tool but an enhanced view of the game from every seat has been the motivating improvement for this project. "The coliseum is a great facility and the Roughnecks present a remarkable product...that doesn't mean we couldn't make it even better...does it?", questioned Berryhill.

Great seats are still available with full view of the Panamax as the Roughnecks play host to the San Angelo Stampede at 7:30 PM on Saturday. Contact the clubs offices at (432) 332-PASS (7277) or log onto www.OdessaIFL.com for more information on these or any other Roughnecks topics.
