Montreal, July 14, 2009 - For a second-straight week, a member of the Montreal Alouettes has taken top honours for his special teams play, with kick returner Larry Taylor being named the CFL's Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 2.
Larry Taylor - Special Teams Player of the Week Taylor scored an 86-yard punt return touchdown in the Alouettes' 50-16 win over the Eskimos, extending the home team's lead to 25 points. He finished the game with 180 combined yards, including 128 on six punt returns and 33 on two kickoff returns.
Calvillo & Williams runners up Quarterback Anthony Calvillo and defensive tackle Keron Williams were runners up for offensive & defensive honours, respectively.
The Als will face the Roughriders at Regina's Mosaic Stadium this Saturday, July 18 at 3 p.m. (RDS HD, TSN HD, CKAC SPORTS, CJAD 800 AM, 98,5 FM).
