"To win a championship, you have to have quality goaltending," said Mallards President Tim Taylor. "If you look at the teams that have been successful in this league, and throughout hockey for that matter, a major component to their success is solid goaltending. Jason has proven himself as one of the most talented goaltenders in all of minor professional hockey, and we are very fortunate to have him signed for the next two seasons."
"Jason was a key part of our team last year," said Mallards General Manager and Head Coach Brian Curran. "He was outstanding throughout the season and especially down the stretch and in the playoffs. He works hard and is a fantastic competitor. I knew what he was capable of doing, and he certainly proved himself to the organization and the Quad City fans."
Tapp will be one of the instructors at the upcoming Quad City Mallards Roller Hockey Camp beginning on August 7th at the Quad City Sports Center. For more information on the camp, pick up a brochure at the Mallards Nest (1509 3rd Avenue A in Moline) or call (309) 764-7825.
