
Tampa Bay Lightning Recall Kristers Gudlevskis, Jonathan Marchessault, Mike Angelidis

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled goaltender Kristers Gudlevskis and forwards Jonathan Marchessault and Mike Angelidis from the Syracuse Crunch, Lightning Vice President and General Manager Steve Yzerman announced today.
Gudlevskis, 22, appeared in 46 games with the Crunch this season, posting a 2.81 goals-against average and .900 save percentage. The 6- foot-3, 211-pound netminder also earned a 25-14-4 record along with two shutout performances. The Aizkraukle, Latvia made his National Hockey League debut on April 11, 2014 against the Columbus Blue Jackets, stopping 36-of-38 shots in a 3-2 victory.
Gudlevskis was selected in the fifth round, 124th overall, in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Marchessault, 24, has skated in two games with the Lightning this season, posting one goal and two points. He scored his first career NHL goal and added an assist, earning first star honors, on April 11 against the Boston Bruins.
The 5-foot-8, 184-pound forward played in 68 games with Syracuse this season, leading the team with 24-43-67. He finished the year ranked second on the team for goals with 24, while his six power-play goals were also tied for second. Marchessault has played in 295 career AHL games with Syracuse, the Springfield Falcons and the Connecticut Whale, recording 92-162-254.
Marchessault was acquired by Tampa Bay on March 5, 2014, along with Dalton Smith, from Columbus in exchange for Dana Tyrell and Matt Taormina.
Angelidis, 29, has appeared in three games with the Lightning this season, recording 12 penalty minutes, including a pair of fighting majors against Montreal on March 16. The 6-foot-1, 212-pound forward has skated in 10 career NHL games, all with the Lightning, over three seasons, posting one goal and 17 penalty minutes.
The Woodbridge, Ontario native played in 64 games with Syracuse this season, notching 20-18-38 with a plus-2 plus/minus rating and six power-play goals. The Crunch Captain finished the 2014-15 season third on the team for both goals and points. He has skated in 579 career AHL games with Syracuse, the Norfolk Admirals and the Albany River Rats accumulating 119-126-245 and 1,217 penalty minutes.
Angelidis signed with Tampa Bay as a free agent on August 3, 2010.
