Talent discovered at audition

March 24, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Rochester, NY. The American Basketball Association (ABA) and ABA Entertainment today announced the overwhelming success of its first open audition for nationwide talent search, Starz in Motion's SHOOTING STARZ.

Over 75 local aspiring entertainers came out to The German House to perform for the distinguished panel of judges, including Cedric Hollywood, Henry "the Discombobulator" Jones, Chris Towns and Angela Rizzi.

Cedric Hollywood stated, "We were completely blown away by the caliber of talent that came out to audition. It was very difficult to select only 6 contestents out of this group as we saw some talent that should already be signed to a label. I can see that this unique competition will be an amazing opportunity for many people in the next six months of our search across the country. I am excited to be a part of it."

According to Angela Rizzi, ABA VP of Entertainment, "It was amazing to see how passionate these young people are about making it in the entertainment business. Some people heard the live broadcast on WDKX and came over on their way home from work, in work clothes and all! I am very pleased with the turnout, and can say that audiences at the ABA finals this weekend will have a tough time picking a winner out of the six contestents we've selected."

The six contestens will be performing at the ABA Great 8 Semi-Finals this Saturday at the Blue Cross Arena. The games take place at 12noon and 230pm, where 3 contestents will perform at halftime of each game. Locals will have the opportunity to come out and cheer for their favorite contestent. The winner of each game will compete against each other at the Championship Game on Sunday at 2pm.

The Auditions for the remainder of the competition cities will be posted following the ABA Playoffs. These competitions will take place in ABA cities, tied in with exciting ARCA and NASCAR racing events and other special events. Semi-Finalists selected from each city will be featured online at www.starzinmotion.com, allowing for voting to take place over a designated period of time. Finalists will then be invited to perform at the Final Competition at the start of the ABA 2006/2007 Season. Winners will take part in STARZ IN MOTION, an ABA tour featuring winners, along with the opportunity for recording contracts, production of an original song, and other prizes from our sponsors.
