ABA announces finalists for Player of the Year

March 24, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Rochester, NY. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced the five finalists for its Player of the Year Award. According to Derrick Pearson, host of ABALIVETALK, "It has not been easy to make these selections as the talent in the ABA is amazing. There could well be 15-20 players that would be deserving of the honor and I don't think anyone would disagree. But, when the smoke clears, we believe that these five players had extraordinary seasons and contributed greatly to their teams' success. They are:

Caleb Gervin, Bellingham Slam

Chandler Thompson, Indiana Alley Cats

Chris Carrawell, Rochester RazorSharks

Lamar Castille, San Jose Skyrockets

Jerry Dupree, Southern California Legends

"And I'll have the honor of announcing the ABA Player of the Year on the live coverage of the ABA Championship Playoff Sunday afternoon," added Pearson. For more information, visit www.abalive.com or to listen to the Semi-Finals or Final, visit www.abalive.com on Saturday and Sunday.
