Lewiston MAINEiacs News Release
Where are your MAINEiacs now?
Catching up with Jakub Bundil, LW, 6' 5.5", #20
Tell us a little bit more about university (in Ottawa, right?) - have you finished now? What are you studying? I will be finishing up my degree this summer at the University of PEI, where I am taking business, although you were right I went to UOttawa for one year.
You have been playing hockey at university...tell us a little bit more about what that's like...any similarities or differences to the QMJHL? Are you the tallest player on your university team too? I played hockey up to this year. I decided not to play anymore due to overload of my courses. It was great experiences. The hockey has some similarities but there are a lot of differences too. The season is only 28 games long, so it is very competitive because every game matters. There is less traveling, average age is higher than in junior hockey. I was the tallest player on my team.
What do you most remember about being a MAINEiac? I will never forget about my first year, especially first couple of weeks. I was very young, hockey was different, there was a language barrier but a lot of people made the transition easier, and this way I would like to thank my billet parents Ken and Rita St Amand. The other great moments were President Cup Playoffs in 2007 and Memorial Cup in Vancouver.
You have been back to Lewiston at least once each season. What keeps you coming back here? Any plans to visit again soon? I have always loved to come back to Lewiston. I have a great relationship with Ken and Rita and also with Pat and Paul Spellman. We keep in touch and visit each other whenever we can. The other reason is the MAINEiacs. It's nice to come back and be able to watch the game. It brings back a lot of good memories.
You have lived in North America for a few years now. Do you still consider Slovakia home? I have never thought about it. This is my 6th year in North America, although I still go home every time school allows me to, and I love being home. Eventually North America could become my home.
What are you most looking forward to in the next year? I am looking forward to being done with University this summer, and then I have not decided yet what exactly I want to do, but I am looking forward to whatever will come my way in the near future.
Thank you Jakub for taking the time to update Lewiston fans! Good luck finishing your degree. A special thank you to Paul Spellman for making this possible. - Sarah Alto

MOvember: Week 2 Update
Next week is perhaps the most important week in the entire month. Not only is it a time where those with a distracted mind can lose focus, but it's where you can make it a good game or a great game. This is where you decide if you're going to celebrate mediocrity, or lead forth and make this a Movember to remember. It's time to sharpen your fundraising skills, polish off your men's health chat, book yourself in for a mid-month meeting with your barber, or, if one of our Mo Sistas, keep your boys focussed on the finish line. Our message to you is; dig deep, stand tall, lift and shine. If you need added incentive, check in daily with our Movember News Page to see what's happening on local soil and around the world, all in the name of men's health.
