T-Birds down Giants 3-2

KENT WA - The Vancouver Giants dropped their first game of the season when leading after two periods as the Seattle Thunderbirds scored twice in the third to defeat the G-Men 3-2. Jeremy Boyer scored on a penalty shot early in the third period while Jim O'Brien scored the winner on the power play mid-way through the final frame, his second of the game, to secure the victory for the T-Birds.

James Henry and Evander Kane both scored power play goals for the Giants in the loss. Kane's goal gives him 40 on the season. Jamie Tucker was brilliant in goal, but suffers his first regulation loss of the season to fall to 15-1-0-1 on the season. The Giants drop two of three games on this three in three weekend and see their record fall to 49-7-1-3 on the season.

Vancouver continues their busiest time of the season with a game on Tuesday night versus the defending MasterCard Memorial Cup Champions, the Spokane Chiefs. You can catch all the WHITE SPOT GIANTS HOCKEY action on AM 650, with the pregame show at 6:30 pm, hosted by Brook Ward. Dave Sheldon will have the call of the game at 7 pm from the Pacific Coliseum.
