Syracuse Silver Knights Set to Snap Losing Streak
November 26, 2011 - Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL)
Syracuse Silver Knights News Release
SYRACUSE N.Y. -- The Syracuse Silver Knights hope to end their current two-game losing streak as they play the Baltimore Blast, the current Eastern Division Leaders, on Sunday at the Oncenter War Memorial at 4 p.m.
After a great 3-0 start to their inaugural season, the Silver Knights have been dominated by the Rochester Lancers during their last two meetings, both games ending 22-13. The Silver Knights controlled the tempo of the match during the last meeting with Baltimore, on November 12th, where they beat the Blast 18-7. With four Silver Knights currently ranked in the league's top 10 scorers, including Slavisa Ubiparapovic who tops the league with 24 pts, they anticipate they will get out of the slump they fell into this last week.
This weekend's schedule will be beneficial to the Silver Knights, as the Blast are set to play the Lancers on Saturday afternoon at the Blue Cross Arena before heading to Syracuse the following day. Baltimore is looking to avenge their opening night loss to the Silver Knights, which is currently its only loss this season.
This weekend's in-division matches between the Silver Knights, Blast and Lancers will further help identify the dominant team in the MISL's Eastern Division. Tickets for Sunday's game can be purchased through ticketmaster.com, or at the Oncenter War Memorial box office.
