SYRACUSE, New York - Bo Jelovac was excited after a big 9-4 bounce back win last Friday in the season's home opener for the Silver Knights. "We need to keep working hard, keep playing as a team and we'll be doing great." The win was the first of the early season for the Silver Knights after falling in their season opener to the Baltimore Blast on the road.

Goal Keeper Bryan O'Quinn gave great thanks to all the support and fans that came out saying, "I love playing in front of these fans, it gets so loud in here, it's a great environment and it's fun to play here. They helped energize us throughout the game and we couldn't that them enough." He is looking forward to returning fans coming back this Saturday to help the team to another win over the Sidekicks.

The Dallas Sidekicks come into the match with a 0-2 record after losses to the Missouri Comets (8-5) and the Las Vegas Legends in overtime (5-4). The Sidekicks leading point scorer this season so far has been Cody Ellis who will come into Syracuse with 2 goals and 2 assists. The 6'1 defending is very accurate when on the offensive end scoring 2 goals in just 5 shots this season.

Tommy Tanner knows his team will have another challenging matchup against a tough Sidekick squad but hopes the fans come out and help push his team to another win. "Playing here at the War Memorial is great, we need crowds like opening night for every home game, the players love it, the fans love it and you can see it in the guys' faces that it boosts them up."

"I know Dallas has a good team, they have played close matches against great opponents, we have been working hard in training and feel like we are ready for them. They have multiple guys that can score and that makes them dangerous, but we'll be ready."

Tanner is also excited to honor a great friend, long time assist, and former Sidekick great: Joe Papaleo. Joe played professionally for the Dallas Sidekicks for 14 years throughout the late 80's and 90's during the time of the MISL. In his 14 year career he was also named Goal Keeper of the year in the MISL during the 1990 season. Later in his soccer career Papaleo joined Tanner on the Silver Knight bench working as a goalie coach and also coaching his son, LJ Papaleo.

"Joe is a great guy and he deserves this recognition. He is a legend for the Sidekicks and has had a tremendous impact on the Silver Knights as well. We want to do something special for him, we are really looking forward to Saturday."

For more information on how you can attend Saturday's game call the Syracuse Silver Knight box office at 315-303-7261 or visit us at syracusesilverknights.com/tickets.cfm. Tommy Tanner and his side knows it will take #JustOneGame for you to be hooked on the Silver Knights.
