
Switchbacks FC Sign Pair of Colorado Rapids Homegrowns on Loan

Colorado Springs, CO - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced today that the club has signed Cole Bassett and Sebastian Anderson on loan from the Colorado Rapids.
Per the Right of Recall incorporated in the loan agreement, the Rapids retain the right to recall Bassett and Anderson at any point during the MLS regular season, subject to MLS roster compliance guidelines.
Bassett, 18, signed a homegrown contract with the Colorado Rapids on August 10, 2018 when he became the youngest signing in club history at the time. The Littleton, Colorado native has currently played in 16 MLS games while tallying a goal and two assists so far this season.
Anderson, 17, signed a homegrown contract on April 3, 2019 to become the current youngest signing in club history. The outside back also became the youngest player in club history to make his professional debut on April 27, 2019 as well as the youngest goalscorer in club history on July 20, 2019 against New York City FC.

The Switchbacks are on the road again on August 24th against Fresno FC at Chukchansi Park. The Switchbacks return to Weidner Field on August 31st to face the Phoenix Rising FC on Free Underwear Night. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a free pair of Switchbacks underwear courtesy of Sheath. Full 16oz beers will be available for $1 for the first 30 minutes after gates open at 5:00 PM. Tickets start at just $12 and are available HERE. For the price of a Switchbacks ticket and 2-5 beers, it is cheaper than buying 2-5 beers at a bar or restaurant.
