Switchbacks FC Announce 6:30 PM Kickoff for First Ever Playoff Match in Weidner Field

Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC News Release
Colorado Springs, CO - With their 4-1 victory in El Paso the Switchbacks secured a minimum of fourth place in the Western Conference for the 2022 regular season and earned a first-round home playoff match at 6:30 pm on Saturday, October 22nd the team announced Friday.
On Wednesday the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC clinched their first home playoff game since 2016 and second ever in franchise history. The match will kick off at 6:30 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time and will be the first ever playoff contest at Weidner Field.
This will mark the second time in franchise history that the Switchbacks have held a playoff match in Colorado Springs, the first being played on September 30th, 2016 when the Vancouver Whitecaps 2 defeated COS 2-1. The Switchbacks have made the playoffs in back-to-back seasons, having earned the #5 seed in the Western Conference in 2021.
With the Switchbacks still in contention for the #3 seed in the Western Conference, and three playoff berths still up for grabs in the West, the team that will travel to Colorado is still yet to be determined.
