Colorado Springs, Colo. (Thursday, October 29, 2015) - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC and Air Force Athletics are teaming up!
Air Force Athletics and the Switchbacks have partnered to sell apparel at the Switchbacks' downtown office in Colorado Springs. The partnership is being forged to give fans a one-stop shopping opportunity. Air Force Fans will also have the ability to buy tickets and pick up tickets at Will Call at the downtown store.
"We are happy to be partnering with Air Force Athletics,"Â said Switchbacks FC President Nick Ragain. "We are bringing together two of the strongest southern Colorado sports' brands in one location."
"This is exciting for Air Force Athletics,"Â said Jim Knowlton, Director of Air Force Athletics. "We are partnering with another Colorado Springs' enterprise to promote our brands and make it easier for the community to support its local teams. This is a win-win for us and the community."
The Switchbacks have a special connection with the Air Force. The team's own Kevin Durr (#13) is an Air Force Academy Graduate, Class of 2013, and an active duty 1st Lieutenant stationed at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs. While at the Academy, Durr led the Falcons' men's soccer team to a NCAA tournament appearance.
"It has been a great honor for me to represent Air Force Athletics in the past and the Switchbacks FC currently, while doing what I love,"Â said Switchbacks FC's Kevin Durr. "Both organizations not only represent excellence, but always strive for success and maintain true professionalism."
You can get the Switchbacks' and Air Force Athletics' apparel at 234 North Tejon Street. That's on the southwest corner of Platte Avenue and Tejon Street in downtown Colorado Springs.
