
Sweets Win Game 2 vs NightHawks and Extend Win Streak

WALLA WALLA, Wash- The Sweets were able to get a decisive game two victory over the NW Star Nighthawks 6-5. The Sweets were able to walk things off as Jakob Marquez led off the ninth with a triple and then scored on a wild pitch.
The Sweets would take a bit to get going offensively, however, stellar pitching form Tyler Hoeft kept the Sweets in a position to strike. Hoeft gave up only one run in six innings of work as well as recording 8 strike outs, a season high for any pitcher this season.
The Sweets would trail going into the bottom of the fourth. In the bottom half of the inning the Sweets would explode for 5 runs. Walla Walla would hold that lead till the 7th when the NightHawks would tie things up.
Albert Roblez would enter the game to pitch in the eighth and was able to shut things down to eventually give them an opportunity to walk things off in the ninth.
Jakob Marquez led off in the inning with a triple and score on the wild pitch to extend the win streak to three games for Walla Walla.
