
Sweets Drop Game Two with Corvallis

WALLA WALLA, Wash- The Sweets fell in game two with Corvallis 11-1. With the loss, Walla Walla falls to 20-27 overall on the year sitting 6 games back of Bend for the final wild-card spot.
Walla Walla couldn't find offense early as they traded scoreless innings to start off the ball game. However, in the second inning, Corvallis would explode for four runs in the top of the second. Corvallis would add four more runs with three being scored in the fourth and one in the sixth.
The Sweets would find a run on the board in the eighth as Derek Gellos would drive in Kevin Spear to get the Sweets their first run of the ball game. Corvallis would be able to answer the run scored in the eighth with three more being added in the top of the ninth.
With a loss in game two the Sweets are eliminated from a second half championship. With a loss tomorrow and a Bend win the Sweets will be officially eliminated from playoff contention.
