
Sweets Add New Broadcaster for 2022 Season

WALLA WALLA, Wash. - Gary Erdelyi will flip coasts to join the Sweets, coming across the country from the Garden State of New Jersey.
Erdelyi earned his degrees in Journalism and Radio, TV, and Film from Rowan University. During his time in Glassboro he was the Sports Director and lead radio play-by-play broadcaster for the Profs for all sports airing on Rowan Radio, including baseball. Most recently, Erdelyi was a play-by-play broadcaster for the Washington Nationals High-A affiliate, the Wilmington Blue Rocks.
"I'm thrilled that the Sweets are giving me the opportunity to continue to do what I love" said Erdelyi, "I'm very excited to begin working with the team; I know that this organization has had an upwards trajectory and I'm excited to continue that."
Erdelyi's responsibilities will include broadcasting home and away games, relationships with local media, managing all media relations requests for the team, as well as managing the Sweets website and content posted by the team. His first game in the Sweets booth will be on June 3rd as the Sweets take on the Ridgefield Raptors on the road to start the 2022 season.
