WILMINGTON, N.C. - "Beat Fayetteville Night" part two did not go so well for the Wilmington Sharks. The SwampDogs were able to beat the Sharks 5-1, Thursday night.

The in the sixth, the SwampDogs finally broke through with the first run of the game. Designated hitter Kam Stewart lead off the inning with a walk, then shortstop Jason Blum reached on an error. Centerfielder David LaFleur pulled a double down the left field line to bring in the first two runs of the game. Left fielder Alex Harris was up next and drew a walk, then right fielder Norm Donkin tripled to left center bringing home the next two.

Donkin would come into score when catcher Lane Paul hit a sacrifice fly that was dropped by right fielder Nathan Becker, and the SwampDogs lead 5-0.
