Oklahoma Warriors News Release
OKLAHOMA CITY - The North American Hockey League named Drew Sutton its runner-up for Forward of the Month.
Since rejoining the Warriors prior to home opening weekend, Sutton has consistently found the score sheet and is currently one of the hottest scorers in the NAHL. In nine games during the month of October, Sutton scored eight goals and seven assists. He complimented his 15 points with a +9 rating. The consistency portion of his game came through in a big way with a six-game point streak to end the month.
The 20-year-old from Hortonville, Wis. has a chance to make Warriors history next week, too. Sutton needs only two goals to surpass William Lawson-Body for the all-time goals lead in franchise history.
The Oklahoma Warriors are home against the Corpus Christi on Friday, November 17 and Saturday, November 18. The team will wear specialty jerseys to benefit The Toby Keith Foundation and OK Kids Korral. Puck drops at 7:15 p.m. at Blazers Ice Centre in Oklahoma City. Fans can purchase tickets at www.oklahomawarriors.com/ticketsand watch the team live on www.nahltv.com.
