San Diego Surf Dawgs News Release
SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Surf Dawgs have announced a deal that will bring their 40-game, regular season home schedule to the World Wide Web for the first time. A partnership with KBCSports.com will bring an online broadcast that will feature streaming video and audio coverage of the Surf Dawgs 40-game home schedule beginning June 5, and select road games.
On the microphone for the Surf Dawgs this season will be Ken Gonzalez. Gonzalez spent 12 years owning his own manufacturing business, before turning his attention to his passion, acting and sports. Moving to San Diego from Ft. Worth, Texas, this Phoenix native quickly found his niche. With agents in San Diego and Los Angeles, he keeps busy acting in commercials and television. Over the last five years Ken has also been the voice for several hundred sporting events, including high school championships, Women's Professional Football and now Golden Baseball.
KBCSports.com is a site that has primarily featured high school broadcasts and the Surf Dawgs will be their first run with a minor league squad. In the upcoming weeks KBCSports.com will carry the San Diego high school softball championships (Saturday, May 27) and the baseball championships (Saturday, June 3).
San Diego begins its title defense at 7:05 p.m. on June 1 at Desert Sun Stadium in Yuma, Ariz. where they will face off with the Yuma Scorpions. Opening Day for the Surf Dawgs will be June 5 at 7:05 p.m. at Tony Gwynn Stadium vs. the Yuma Scorpions. You can hear the game live for the first time on KBCSports.com.
