As the Fort Wayne Mad Ants' inaugural season comes to a close, YOU can help the Ants make history as the team tries to finish the year atop the NBA Development League's attendance standings. As of now, the Mad Ants are a close second behind the Sioux Falls Skyforce for tops in the D-League rankings. With two big nights this Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12, the Mad Ants can overtake the Skyforce to claim the attendance crown.
Ending the year on a high note will also bring the team's record-breaking season full circle, as the Mad Ants already made history when Fort Wayne set a D-League opening night attendance record. "After the phenomenal welcome that the Fort Wayne community has given us, I can't think of a better way to end the year than to memorialize this season in the NBA D-League record books. We have two exciting games planned for this upcoming weekend, and our entertaining halftime performances and special end-of-season surprises will be a great way to spend time with family and friends," said Mad Ants President Jeff Potter.
The Mad Ants play their Central Division rival and defending D-League champion Dakota Wizards (27-21) in a double-header at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum this coming Friday and Saturday.
