Boston Lobsters News Release
As May begins with the French Open in site, the tournaments get bigger, the stakes get higher, and the Lobsters get hotter.
Leading the way for the Lobsters was Eric Butorac, who along with partner Marcos Baghdatis, reached the finals of the BMW Open in Munich, Germany. And of course with Booty being Booty playing in one or two tournaments or even one or two countries is never enough. Butorac, along with partner Joni Erlich, began April by reaching the quarter finals of the U.S. Clay court championships in Houston, TX. He next moved on to Sarasota, FL and finally Bucharest, Romania where he played in the BRD Nastase Tiriac Trophy.
Butorac was not the only Lobster with a busy schedule or big wins in April. Jill Craybas began April by playing in the Family Circle Cup in Charleston, SC. Next she moved on to the BNP Paribas Katowice Open in Katowice, Poland where she reached the round of 16. Her trip to the round of 16 in Katowice included a win over World top 30, Julia Goerges. And finally she wrapped up the month by playing in the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, Germany.
Amir Weintraub began April reaching the semi finals in Leon, Mexico where he played Donald Young. Amir continued his Mexican tour by playing in tournaments in Guadalajara and Mexico City.
After a month like April, the Lobsters have enough clay left in their shoes to build their own court. Look out Paris because the claws are going to come out!
