
"Super Copa" Final Set For May 1

Washington, D.C. (April 29, 2010) - D.C. United announced today the Final of the fifth edition of La Super Copa will feature Aegean Hawks vs. Victoria. The championship game will be played on Saturday, May 1 at the RFK Stadium Auxiliary Fields at 1 p.m. ET, before United hosts the New York Red Bulls at 4 p.m. Admission for the final is free of charge. La Super Copa, presented by Volkswagen, is sponsored by Verizon Wireless, adidas and D.C. Lottery.
Aegean Hawks advanced to the championship thanks to a 1-0 win over Juventus de Suitland, while Victoria defeated Tiataco 5-2. There will be a cash prize of $5,000 for the winner and $2,000 for the runner-up as well as team trophies and individual medals.
