Hagerstown Suns News Release
The Hagerstown Suns are pleased to announce that they will be hosting a FREE baseball clinic at Municipal Stadium this Saturday for all children ages seven through twelve.
The clinic, which is sponsored by St. Lawrence Cement Company, will take place on Saturday, July 17th and will last from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The clinic will be run by Suns players (Catcher Brent Swanson, IF Derek Barrows & Pitcher Tim Alvarez) so all boys and girls who attend the clinic will get hands-on instruction from the pros themselves.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, and every child must be accompanied by a guardian who must sign a waiver to enable the child to participate. In addition to receiving instruction from Suns players and/or coaches, all children who participate in the clinic will also receive a free ticket to that evening's game against Lakewood, which starts at 7:05 p.m. Participating kids will also receive a free lunch (hot dog and drink) immediately following the clinic.
The Hagerstown Suns of the South Atlantic League are the Class A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. The Suns regular season runs through September 6th. Ticket packages and sponsorships are available by calling 301-791-6266. The Suns are owned by Mandalay Baseball Properties of Los Angeles, California.
