PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - Arizona Sundogs Head Coach and General Manager Marco Pietroniro will participate in the 5th Annual Champions for Charity fundraising event Saturday, June 17 at Harkins Theatres in Prescott Valley. For 24 hours, starting at noon tomorrow and ending at noon on Sunday, Pietroniro will be watching movies to help raise money for Prevent Child Abuse Arizona.
"With my wife Caroline and I being the parents of five boys, child abuse prevention is an issue that we care deeply about," said Pietroniro of Prevent Child Abuse Arizona and its efforts. "When we first were approached with this opportunity, there was no question in my mind that we would be involved."
To facilitate Marco's efforts and encourage people to donate, the Arizona Sundogs will raffle off an Arizona Sundogs replica jersey. To qualify for the raffle, a donation of $1 or more must be made to Prevent Child Abuse Arizona.
In addition to the Sundogs replica jersey, Prevent Child Abuse Arizona is raffling a trip for two to Hawaii. Raffle tickets are $20 each or three for $50 and can be purchased at the Arizona Sundogs' offices up until the day of the event and at Harkins Theatres during the Champions for Charity event.
The drawing for the trip to Hawaii will be held Saturday, August 12 at the 'Grass Skirts and Rubbah Slippahs - Luau for Little Ones' fundraising event, hosted by PCA Arizona. The event is scheduled to start at 5:30 pm and will be held at Watson Lake Park in Prescott. Participants need not be present to win.
