Sundogs Sign Russian Defenseman Tulupov

Prescott Valley, AZ - The Arizona Sundogs announced Thursday the signing of defenseman Kirill Tulupov, a 2006 third round, #67 overall NHL Entry Draft pick.
Tulupov, a native of Moscow, Russia began his pro career in 2009-10 in Russia with the HC Slovan Bratislava. He registered 1 goal, seven assists and 30 penalty minutes in 45 games. In 2010-11 he played for the Moscow Spartak of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), playing in four games. In 2011-12 he joined the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League (AHL). He skated in 33 games and collected one goal, seven assists and 71 penalty minutes. He started his 2012-13 season in Russia playing for the Yekaterinburg Automobilist and the Khabarovsk Amur both of the KHL and tallied two assists while with Khabaarovski Amur.
Prior to turning pro he spent five seasons playing junior hockey, three of which were spent playing for the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).
Tulupov will be in the Sundogs' line-up pending immigration approval and will be wearing number 77.
