UNCASVILLE, Conn. - The Connecticut Sun announced today it will partner again with CPTV Sports, reaching an agreement that will result in the broadcast of at least 18 home and away Sun games in 2013.

The first broadcast will be the home opener at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, May 25th at 7 p.m., when the Sun host the New York Liberty. Veteran Sun broadcaster Bob Heussler will handle the play-by-play duties again, working with Rebecca Lobo or Kara Wolters on select telecasts.

"We are really excited to partner with CPTV Sports again this season," Sun Vice President and General Manager Chris Sienko said. "Broadcasting 11 road games this year will give our fans the chance to follow the Sun all season, even when they leave Connecticut."

The first independently owned WNBA franchise, the Connecticut Sun have been one of the most successful teams in the league, advancing to the playoffs eight times in ten years with two trips to the WNBA Finals. Led by WNBA MVP Tina Charles, veteran star Kara Lawson and a group of emerging young talent, the Sun will be shooting for their first WNBA Championship under first-year head coach Anne Donovan.

CPTV Sports is available on Comcast cable channel 966 (with Comcast Danbury, Bethel and Ridgefield on channel 256); Cox Communications cable channel 805; Cablevision channel 139; Charter channel 223; Thames Valley channel 87 and MetroCast Channel 418.
