STREAK CONTINUES DESPITE LOSS: Despite losing 100-105, the Storm extended their NBL record to 14 straight games of scoring 100 or more points. They have scored 100 or more in 33 of their last 35 games.
FIRST HALF: The Storm trailed 43-50 at half time. It was the first playoff game that Summerside has allowed 50 points by halftime and also the first playoff game that the Storm has scored less than 50 after two quarters.
SHOOTING PERCENTAGE: The Storm was 36 for 72 in shooting for 50.0%. It was the first playoff 50% or more game for Summerside. They have accomplished this feet 10 times in regular play.
WORKING THE GLASS: London out-rebounded the Storm 46-39. It was the second time in the playoffs that the Storm has been out-rebounded. The Lightning was especially effective on the offensive boards where they held a 14-5 advantage. The 14 offensive rebounds led to 23 second-chance points while Summerside had 4 second-chance points with their 5 offensive rebounds.
MARGIN OF DEFEAT: The five point loss was the largest for the Storm during these playoffs. The two losses to Windsor were by two points each.
LACK OF SHOOTING: Summerside only attempted 72 shots. It was the lowest total during the playoffs and one away from the team record low of 71, established on November 18th, 2011 at home against Moncton.
THE TREND CONTINUES: The Storm shot 69.0% from the free throw line. They were 20 for 29. When Summerside has shot less than 70% from the charity stripe, they have lost. When they shot 70% or more, they have won.
NO DOUBLE-DOUBLES: For the first time during these playoffs, Summerside was without any players accomplishing a double-double. The last game were no double-doubles was March 10 against Halifax (regular season game number 38)
HOT ANTOINE: Antoine was the top scorer for Summerside. He had 28 points, the second time he has scored that many in these playoffs.
END OF STRING: Omari Johnson's club-record string of consecutive games with 10 or more points was stopped at 21 when he recorded just 7 points in the opener against London. Brandon Robinson had 11 points to increase his personal streak to 20 games.
