
Strykers Still Looking for First Win After 4-3 Loss to Outlaws

Empire Strykers News Release
Empire Strykers hosted Mesquite Outlaws in 12 ¬Â16 ¬Â22. The Outlaws come into the match with 2 ¬Â0 ¬Â0 record and only allowing 4 goals in 2 games. Empire Strykers came into the match with a 0 ¬Â2 ¬Â1 record.
Strykers are led by rookie Gabriel Costa with 6 points in 3 games.
Strykers started out early with a 1 ¬Â0 lead with a goal from Adam James. Mesquite answered back with a goal of their own on the double power play with blue cards to Johnny Topete and Franck Tayou. Pablo DaSilva scored the equalizing goal. Strykers jump up to a 2 ¬Â1 lead with a goal from the captain Franck Tayou to close out the first half.
The second half started off with a fast ¬Âpaced game that show two early goals in the first 5 minutes by Mesquite to gain the lead at 3 ¬Â2.
In the 4th quarter, Claysson DeLima played a ball forward that was picked by David Ortiz and scored in the open net to increase the lead to 4 ¬Â2. The Strykers fought back with a goal by Robert Palmer on a set piece to get the game to 3 ¬Â4.
Strykers finished the game outshooting the Outlaws 25 ¬Â20 and only posting 3 goals. This drops the Strykers record to 0 ¬Â3 ¬Â1 on the season. The Strykers will hit the road and face Dallas Sidekicks on Sunday. Mesquite Outlaws improve to 3 ¬Â0 ¬Â0 and will travel to San Diego and play the Sockers on Sunday
