Strong Island Sound Respect program for seniors

Strong Island Sound News Release
The Strong Island Sound are a brand new professional basketball team playing on Long Island in the new version of the ABA, red white and blue basketball and all. The original ABA had a long tradition on Long Island and we hope to continue that with our team. We are looking to promote games with a family-friendly and affordable atmosphere. We are trying to establish a relationship with the community and would like to extend this invitation.
All seniors 55 and over will be admitted at a discounted admission for ALL our home games. Our season ends in March, so there is plenty of time to take advantage of this offer. It is entitled "Strong Island Sound Respect". Senior Discount will be $8.00 (regular prices are $12.00). It is just one way that we can give back to the men and women who have helped build what we have.
Our next home game is on Friday January 13th 7 p.m. at William Floyd Middle School. We will be playing the Baltimore Pearls. Home games are generally held at St. Joseph's College in Patchogue and Suffolk Community College in Selden.
The Strong Island Sound would like you to join us in our inaugural season. We have a brand new mascot, Sheykan Bayke, that we want to familiarize with the people on Long Island. He will be busy taking pictures with all the fans and throwing Sound t-shirts into the stands during "T-Shirt Toss Time-Outs".
All fans will receive a FREE game program upon entrance. Parking is also FREE at all Strong Island Sound home games. We are hoping to have success with the sport of basketball similar to what the Long Island Ducks have had with baseball.
We hope to see everyone at the game. It's a great way to enjoy a fun-filled professional local sports event. Basketball is not just for kids!
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
