FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (MAY 23, 2011) - The Fort Lauderdale Strikers are partnering with Champps restaurant to host a Champions League Final watch party this Saturday, May 28, before the Strikers take on the Montreal Impact at Lockhart Stadium. Starting at 2 p.m., fans will gather to watch FC Barcelona play Manchester United in the final match of the UEFA Champions League.
"The Champions League Final is a battle between two of the world's premier soccer clubs. What better way for Strikers fans to celebrate the beautiful game than to watch FC Barcelona face Man U at Champps and then join a convoy of Striker Supporters, Striker Girls and Striker Mascot - Hot Shot - over to Lockhart Stadium for the NASL's Strikers-Impact clash! Soccer Saturday with the Strikers - time again to show your true colors - Red and Yellow!" said Strikers Commercial Director Tommy Knapp.
All fans who come to Champps with their ticket for Saturday night's Strikers-Montreal game will receive 20% off their entire check. Following the game, the Strikers will lead a caravan to Lockhart Stadium where fans can join the tailgate party before the team hosts Montreal at 7:30 p.m.
