
Strikers Acquire Jamaican International Defender Lance Laing

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL (February 2, 2011) - The Strikers announced today the signing of Jamaican International defender Lance Laing for the upcoming season. Per team policy, terms of the deals have not been disclosed.
"Our staff is pleased to welcome Lance to the Strikers and we expect him to make an immediate impact on our backline. He is a good defender that we have high expectations for," said Head Coach Daryl Shore.
Laing, 22, is a native of Trelawny, Jamaica. He began his professional career with Harbour View FC and Village United. The young defender has also represented the Jamaican National Team several times at the under 17 level in 2004-2005 and the senior national team in 2008-2009.
