Storm Wrap-Up 2011 Training Camp
February 21, 2011 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Sioux Falls Storm News Release
The Sioux Falls Storm's 2011 campaign is in full swing with training camp nearing an end and the first game of the season less than a week away.
The Storm held a walkthrough practice open to select season ticket holders Sunday night, and felt good about the week leading up to their first game.
"Overall we had an extremely talented group of kids come in to camp," Storm owner Todd Tryon said. "Unfortunately we had to cut a number of those very talented players."
Another positive, Tryon said, was that the team remained injury-free throughout the camp.
The team will leave Thursday, Feb. 24 for Kent, Wash., where they will face the Kent Predators on Friday, Feb. 25 at 7:05p.m PT.
The Storm had 40 players report to camp, 13 of which are returners from last season, and have cut the roster to a league-mandated 30 players.
