Storm Unveils New Internet Radio Talk Show

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – A new sports talk show centering on the New Jersey Storm professional indoor lacrosse team will debut on njstorm.com on Wednesday, February 12th at 8:00 p.m. The show is entitled New Jersey Storm Magazine and will be hosted by Storm radio play-by-play announcer and noted New York/New Jersey radio personality Joe Nolan. The program will feature player interviews, analysis, and other features relating to the team. New Jersey Storm Magazine will tape in front of a live audience every Tuesday night (beginning February 11th) at 6:00 p.m. during the regular season at the T.G.I. Friday’s restaurant on Route 17 South in Wood-Ridge, NJ. It will air every Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. on njstorm.com.
Storm fans are encouraged to attend the tapings and meet their favorite players. The first guest will be goaltender Ginny Capicchioni, the first female player in National Lacrosse League and major men’s professional team sports history. Capicchioni played in three Storm pre-season games and suited up for her first regular season game on Saturday in Colorado. The 23-year old is a three-time lacrosse “Goalie of the Year” from Sacred Heart University in the Northeast Conference.
Joe Nolan is also the radio voice of Seton Hall Pirates women’s basketball and appears daily on the “Scott and Todd Morning Show” on 95.5 FM – WPLJ in New York.
The Storm (2-6) is coming off its fifth straight loss, a 16-14 setback to the Colorado Mammoth on February 8th. The teamÂ’s next home game at the Continental Airlines Arena is Friday, February 28th at 7:30 p.m. against the Albany Attack. The first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive a free Storm collector light.
