Sioux Falls Storm News Release
The Sioux Falls Storm is pleased to announce a very special ceremony during halftime of the Storm's First Round IFL Playoff Game against the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks this Saturday night. The ceremony, sponsored by Erbert & Gerbert's, will feature the retiring of former Storm leader and fan favorite Terrance Bryant's No. 5 jersey.
Terrance Bryant lead the Storm as quarterback from 2005-2010 and created a legacy for himself. He led the Sioux Falls Storm to 4 straight championships in 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008. In 2006 he was named the United Bowl II MVP and the UIF League MVP. Bryant is ranked 2nd in Storm history for passing yards, attempts and completions in a single season.
Currently Bryant holds most career Storm records in the passing departments. In his career he threw for 13,508 yards with a 65.4 completion percentage. In his time with the Storm, Bryant threw for 259 touchdowns. He currently has the most touchdown passes for a player in a Storm uniform. In his Storm career he ran for 794 yards and 45 TD's. This is currently 4th all time in Storm History.
"Terrance Bryant is the main pillar in the building of the Sioux Falls Storm," said Coach Kurtiss Riggs. "The Storm is able to compete year in and year out for a championship because of the character, leadership and high expectations that Terrance helped instill in the Storm organization."
Make sure to stay in your seats for this weekend's halftime as the Storm welcomes a new player into its Hall of Fame by retiring the number 5 of quarterback Terrance Bryant.
