Storm to Host Danger

The Sioux Falls Storm is set for its first Great Plains Division matchup of the season, Monday night at 7:05pm, as they face the Nebraska Danger. Push Pedal Pull is the proud sponsor of the game, which features two teams who have never faced each other.

The Storm is coming off a dominant 90-19 win over the Wenatchee Venom while the Danger won their inaugural game against the Wichita Wild, 70-59, on March 7.

So far this season, Storm quarterback Chris Dixon has thrown for 453 yards and 14 touchdowns and only one interception. Dixon also leads the team in rushing with 49 yards and three touchdowns in only 10 attempts. On the receiving end, James Terry leads the team with 16 receptions, 185 yards and six touchdowns, while former University of Sioux Falls standouts dusty Hovorka and Lorenzo Brown have each caught four touchdowns, while totaling 126 and 124 yards, respectively. Defensively, Brian McIntire leads the team with 16 tackles, while Stewart Franks has intercepted three passes in the first two games.

For the Danger, Erick Jackson has rushed for 64 yards and two touchdowns so far this season, pacing the rushing attack, while quarterback Dixie Wooten threw for 125 yards and five touchdowns in his first game, three of which were thrown to Maurice Mansfield, who is currently third on the team in yards receiving with 34 (behind Antuan Bloom and Johnny Johnson). Wooten also threw three interceptions in the game. Defensively for the Danger, Darius Davis leads the team with eight tackles.

"Nebraska is a veteran team that will test our level of play," said Storm Owner, Todd Tryon. "I'm excited to see how we match up against a strong divisional opponent."
