Sioux Falls Storm News Release
The Sioux Falls Storm (3-0) will take on the Wichita Wild (0-2) this Saturday, March 26, at Hartman Arena in Wichita at 7:05pm CT, in a Great Plains Division matchup.
Last Monday, the Storm defeated the Nebraska Danger, another Great Plains Division rival, 80-32. In the game, the Storm scored on every offensive possession until the final drive, when they took a knee to run out the clock. Quarterback Chris Dixon, who threw for 167 yards and four touchdowns, and rushed for 46 yards and three touchdowns, led the offense. On the defensive side, defensive lineman Michael Bazemore tallied six tackles, including three tackles-for-loss, as well as forcing two fumbles, one of which was recovered by Tommy Chavis for a touchdown.
The Wild are coming off a bye-week, but lost their previous game to the Green Bay Blizzard, 55-41. In the game, Wild quarterback Shane Mascarenas threw for five touchdowns and 205 yards, but was intercepted four times and fumbled twice, losing one, in the losing effort. Wide Receiver Clinton Soloman caught all five touchdowns and totaled 120 yards.
"They are a great team," Dixon said, "and we're a expecting a hard fought game. Their record doesn't display the team they really are."
Storm fans may catch the game live on the B2 Network or listen to the game broadcast and "The Silver Fox" live on KOOL 107.9 FM. The Storm returns home next week as they take on the Omaha Beef on Sunday, April 3 at 2:05pm.
