Reading Express News Release
Reading, Pa. (March 24, 2011) - The Reading Express indoor pro football organization has partnered with Excellence-In... on a Youth Leadership Development and Team Building Program to be held to be held as part of Faith & Family Night on Friday, April 1 at Sovereign Center in Reading, Pa. This unique program is designed to serve youth pastors and other youth leaders in churches in Berks County and beyond. The program will help kick-off a night that includes the Reading Express-Lehigh Valley Steelhawks game and a post-game concert by well-known Christian recording group Building 429.
The one-hour youth program will focus on core motives and behavior styles, overview of team building principles, and character development. The goal is to inspire individuals working in youth group ministries, as well as young leaders who are part of their church's youth group, to set standards of excellence for their ministry, as well as for themselves on an individual performance basis.
"This youth leadership program takes the usual Faith & Family Night concept to an entirely new level," said Tim Glase, general manager of the Reading Express. "Youth Ministry was one of my favorite courses at Liberty University. I'm personally excited about incorporating this component into Faith & Family Night. I'm confident this program will really serve today's youth leaders."
The Youth Leadership Development and Team Building Program is being led by Larry Bonino, principle of Excellence-In, which aims to assist clients with achieving excellence-in-performance, while simultaneously enhancing their quality of life. Bonino is the Exclusive Peak Performance Coach the Reading Express, and leader of the team's Corporate Team Experience program.
"I am very excited to have this opportunity to spend some time with youth group leaders from Berks County and beyond and share with them the excellence principles that can have a dramatically positive effect on the life of young people who must face today's cultural challenges on a daily basis," said Bonino. "Excellence-In's Youth Leadership Development and Team Building Program provides a platform from which I can enthusiastically share the large and significant role that my Christian faith has played in every aspect of my life, including my business success. I am deeply grateful to the Reading Express for helping to sponsor this highly valuable event, and I am pleased to offer it at no charge to any church who would like to send its youth pastors, youth group ministers, and young adults who are interested in serving their church as youth leaders."
Program Details: The Youth Leadership Development and Team Building Program will start at 5:30 p.m. and be held in the Coca-Cola Lounge in the Sovereign Center.
Young adults who attend this youth leadership program should be in youth ministry leadership position and ideally be at least 15 years old. This program is free-of-charge with the purchase of a Reading Express ticket to that night's game against the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks.
