Storm Tickets on sale Monday

Tickets for the Guelph Storm's 2009-10 pre-season and regular season will go on sale to the general public beginning Monday, August 17th at 11 am.

Tickets can be purchased in person at the Guelph Storm box office, by visiting ticketmaster.com or by calling 519-837-9690.

New this season the Storm are introducing "$5 Wecession Wednesdays." Fans can purchase regular bowl tickets for just $5 each for home games on Wednesday, November 18th and Wednesday, February 10th. Guelph Storm season ticket holders will also receive a special "Wecession Wednesday" offer valid for Spyke's Sports on these two dates.

Opening the regular season on home ice versus the Saginaw Spirit on Friday, September 18th, the team's 68-game schedule sees them play 19 of their 34 home games on Friday nights. There are nine Sunday games, two games both Wednesday and Saturday, with one Monday game and a single Tuesday game.

Pre-season tickets can also be purchased on August 17th. Kicking off the pre-season schedule at home the Storm match up against the Barrie Colts on Sunday, August 30th before hosting the Brampton Battalion on Thursday, September 3rd. The next night the Storm see themselves in Brampton for the back end of a home and home visiting the Powerade Centre for a 7:30 pm start. Travelling to Niagara the Storm take on the Ice Dogs on Thursday, September 10th, before wrapping up the exhibition season with a game in Barrie against the Colts on Saturday, September 12th at 7:00 pm.

Highlights of Guelph's 2009-10 schedule include:

$5 "Wecession Wednesday" nights on November 18th versus the Brampton Battalion and February 10th versus the Plymouth Whalers

The annual and ever popular Teddy Bear Toss on Friday, December 11th

A pair of Friday night home games versus the defending Memorial Cup Champions the Windsor Spitfires, including Friday, September 25th and during the winter holiday break on Friday, January 1st

For the second year in a row, the Storm will host the London Knights in a 2 pm start on the Family Day Holiday on Monday, February 15th

The Storm's annual Fan Appreciation Night will be on Friday, March 12th versus the Erie Otters.

For the 17th consecutive season, 1460 CJOY will be the official radio voice of the Guelph Storm with Larry Mellott calling every Storm home and away game including the 2010 playoffs. 1460 CJOY's radio broadcast is also available on-line through the 1460 CJOY website at www.cjoy.com.

Rogers Television will also be back for the 2009-10 season broadcasting approximately 60 Guelph Storm games both home and away, including three pre-season games, live on Rogers Cable 20.
