STORM Take Team Record Win Streak into Playoffs

(Summerside, PE) The Summerside STORM won their club record 7th game in a row with a 133-122 win over the Halifax Rainmen Saturday night in front of 2,291 fans at Credit Union Place in Summerside.
Royce Parran set a STORM club record 18 assists to go along with 23 points and 10 rebounds for the STORMS second only triple-double in franchise history. Antoine Tisby had a big night with 27 points and 12 rebounds while Chris Cayole scored 26 points, Josiah Turner 18 and Islander Doug McKinney had 16. Joey Haywood led the Rainmen attack with 26 points.
The STORM now get ready for the semi-finals in the NBL payoffs which begin at Credit Union Place on Sunday March 24th at 2pm against the Windsor Express. Troy Gauthier of Charlottetown won the 50-50 on the night taking home half the total pot of $5,240. Jim Burrell of Miscouche won $350 in the Clarks Toyota Shoot to Win Contest.
Close to 30 prizes were given out during the game which was Fan Appreciation Night at the STORM game.
